Wolf Country

Vampires v Werewolves in a Wild West setting.

Wolf Country tells of a vampire settlement surrounded by hostile werewolf tribes. The settlement is there for religious reasons, following the teachings of a vampire god. The werewolves don’t want the settlement there. They consider a vampire presence on their land to be sacrilege.

It is a frontier of fang and claw, with death and vengeance the common currency. In Wolf Country, you need to watch your back and keep your loved ones close, because someone–or something–is always out to get you.

Ororo: Before the Storm – by Scott Gray & Todd Dezago & Marc Sumerak & Jim Alexander (Paperback)

It’s no small thing being part of a Marvel book these days. I occupy the tiniest corner of the Marvel Universe and boy does it feel great. I contribute a story recounting how the girl Ororo became the goddess Storm. ‘The Song of Storm’. If you read below this is not the first time it’s been reprinted, but I love this story. I wrote it quite the time ago, beautifully and lovingly illustrated by Marc Campos, and I grow prouder of this story with every passing year. The book was released on 15th February 2022.

Birds of Prey: Fighters By Trade

I wrote an issue back in the day of Birds of Prey from DC Comics. The story has been collected for the first time and is one of the stories featured in Birds of Prey: Fighter By Trade. Called ‘Donor’ it’s pencilled by Brad Walker (yes, the Brad Walker) and inked by Jimmy Palmiotti (yes, the Jimmy Palmiotti). Huntress, Oracle and Black Widow find themselves in the middle of a situation where a mobster needs a kidney transplant, while other villains try to make sure the donor never shows up.

Bomb Scares Volume 3

I contribute to the latest Bomb Scares anthology published by (appropriately enough) Time Bomb Comics. The book is edited by Paul H Birch. My story is called ‘Pursuit of Perfection’ with art by David Morris who, fair play, takes a script dripping with slick dark undertones and proves the equal of it. I also have a story in each of Bomb Scares Volumes 1 & 2 as well.
